A few weeks ago, on 15 February 2013 we had a great Chinese Cultural Day.
We invited Sarah Brennan, the Hong Kong-based international author and publisher of the best selling Chinese Calendar Tales to our college for her new book reading “The Tale of Sybil Snake”.
She ran four sessions in the morning in the library. More than 300 students in Year P-8 were involved in the activities. Sarah’s creative and fun story really attracted our kids’ attention. Students all got the book marks as a memory after the workshops.
The school canteen was very nice to prepare a special delicious Chinese lunch for us on the day as well. Thanks for the support!
Many thanks also go to Keir, Alina and all the home group teachers who spent time in supervising their classes during the story telling. And a special thanks to Jenny Chen who spent a lot of her own time to help with the poster designing and photos developing. Some of the photos will be shown in Sarah Brennan’s blog at www.sarahbrennanblog.wordpress.com and more photos and videos are kept in the Staffshared, under LOTE file. Welcome to visit!
