School Council Notice
The College Council requests all interested members of the community to nominate for the following:
***Fund Raising Collective***
This group will coordinate, drive, promote and plan major fund raising events and in most cases, oversee their implementation. Eg Spring Fair
This group will report back to school council regarding the general planning and direction, the outcomes of events and activities and liaise with the College Leadership to coordinate a whole school approach to fundraising.
The group will not be directly involved with Thursday Markets and the SRC, however they will coordinate events like Spring Fair, Cake stall and sausage sizzle opportunities and school wide raffles etc.
Members of this group will not be required to participate in the actual fund raising activities conducted at the school, however they will provide much needed direction, advice and coordination. Formerly this group has operated as the Spring Fair Team however their scope of responsibility has been widened to include other activities. Please indicate you willingness to be part of the group by return email no later than May 12th.
Spring Fair 2014
The long list of requests for funding from the 2014 Spring Fair funds will be processed over the coming weeks and an announcement will be made asap. We apologise for the long wait. A panel consisting of SC President (Michael Caver), SC Treasurer (Sherrian Poon), two parents, two teachers (one primary, one secondary) and a member of the SRC leadership team. The panel will be chaired by the principal. Parents are requested to nominate for the two parent positions. The process so far has called for requests and collated a summary of these requests into a table. The principal will liaise with the two SC representatives to decide which two parent representatives will be invited on to the panel. The next stage will be for the panel to recommend to the School Council a priority listing. Finally, School Council will then use the panel’s advice to decide which applications are the successful ones.
