What an amazing time 7A, 7B and 8A experienced last week. Thirty- nine students happily departed from the school on Monday, December 16th for a three day adventure at the Phillip Island Adventure resort ….so appropriately named! The trip there was full of singing, laughter and certainly a high spirited group of teenagers! The drivers to this delightful spot were the irrepressible Ken and effervescent Gareth, two very capable drivers and well-loved members of staff. The teachers accompanying the classes were the youthful Steph and wise old Liria.

It was quite entertaining seeing how fearful the students were of the attacking pelicans at San Remo, to the wonder on the students’ faces when entering their five star accommodation. Camps are such a wonderful experience for students and to be as part of this joyful enthusiasm is always a buzz for the teachers.

Our activities were challenging and varied, including the Giant Swing, Flying Fox, High Ropes and Initiative courses to Canoeing, Swimming and many more great events. A twilight walk to the beach, Campfire and toasting of marshmallows, as well evening movies and delectable food all added to the positivity and success of this camp.

The major complaint was referring to the shortness of the camp……most of the students wanted it to last for the whole week, but I am not sure if the teachers could have lasted the distance. A wonderful time was had by all!

Cheers,
